Birmingham 2022 is looking for dedicated and confident Venue Logistics Coordinators to help support the Logistics team. The Logistics functional area is responsible for identifying, scoping, storing, delivering, recovering, and disposing of the materials required to stage the Games.

The Venue Logistics Coordinator will be responsible for the planning, implementation and delivery of venue logistics operations at a specific competition or non-competition venue. This is a fantastic opportunity for the right candidate to support on what will be nothing short of a memorable global sporting event.

Responsibilities

* Assist with planning and implementing logistics operational plans for allocated venue/s within time critical deadlines.
* Provide logistics advice and support to functional areas, staff, external suppliers, and contractors, as required.
* Assist in maintaining up to date and accurate records, documentation, and complete daily reports.
* Meet milestones with regards to scheduling, resource scoping, health and safety and training.
* Assist with asset tracking (including furniture, fixtures and equipment), distribution in venue, set up/breakdown of spaces and return materials post event.
* Assist with the management of on venue deliveries, resources, fuel, and vehicles.
* Attend venue management daily briefings as a Logistics representative, when required, ensuring smooth and seamless back-of-house operations at an assigned venue.

Skills and Experience

Essential

* Hold a valid full UK manual driving license.
* Proven experience of building effective relationships with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
* Proficient skills in Microsoft Office, in particular Excel and ability to learn and operate online systems.
* Strong organisational skills in planning and the ability to coordinate resources.
* Highly resilient and able to work calmly when under pressure.

Location: One Brindley Place, Birmingham (full time office-based)

Salary: £25,000 per annum, pro rata

Please note, due to the nature of this huge event, shift work including weekend working will be required at Games time. Furthermore, there will be limitations on taking annual leave during the Games operational period in July and August. More specific details can be discussed at interview.

This position is subject to a Basic criminal record check from the Disclosure and Barring Service.
