If so, Birmingham 2022 is looking to recruit a Security Operations Lead.

Working collaboratively to support the Security Operations Manager and the wider Security team your responsibilities will include, but not limited to, coordinating, implementing and delivering the Functional Area's (FA) policies and plans with an emphasis on transport and logistics security, all of which will contribute to a safe and secure Games.

Responsibilities

  • Coordination with internal and external stakeholders involved in Security Operations including West Midlands Police;
  • Develop the criteria for Security Vulnerability Assessments (SVA's) of Games Time non-competition venues including Games Time supplier locations;
  • Liaise with the Transport and Logistics functional areas in relation to the Security functional area;
  • Design the supplier Security user guide;
  • Support the Security Operation Manager and Head of Security Operations as required.

Key Skills & Experience Required

Essential

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience;
  • In-depth knowledge and experience of security assessment/audit principles with focus on logistics operations;
  • Understanding of the UK threat level and implications of any change to the threat level;
  • Experience and knowledge of Security Operations in a similar environment;
  • Previous experience in project management.

Desirable

  • Diploma of Security and Risk Management would be advantageous;
  • Project Management Certification;
  • Membership of an appropriate professional body (CSyP / MSyI / ASIS / RIBA etc.);
  • Understanding of security vulnerability assessments;
  • Competent and experienced in a high-profile, multi-sport Games environment or equivalent.

Start Date: ASAP

Salary: upto £40,000 per annum

Location: One Brindley Place, Birmingham, B1 2JB (full-time in office)

This position is subject to a Basic criminal record check from the Disclosure and Barring Service. This position is also subject to CTC clearance.
