Operations Coordinator - Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games

We are building a workforce of enthusiastic and driven individuals to support the delivery of the largest event ever to be held in the West Midlands. From supervising teams of volunteers, to coordinating athlete transportation and guest pass access, to supporting spectators on venue, these positions will form an integral part of our operational delivery teams.

We are looking for candidates with the following transferable skills:

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment.
  • Confident making effective and quick decisions while under pressure.
  • A proactive, supportive and reliable team player.
  • A strong customer service focus and desire to go the extra mile.
  • Enthusiastic and passionate about supporting the delivery of Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games.


Our ambition for these roles is to be open for all to apply regardless of previous work experience and we particularly want to reach applicants from the West Midlands region.

Start date: June - July 2022
Contract: Temporary contract until August 2022
Location: Numerous, including Birmingham, Coventry, Warwick, Wolverhampton, Leamington and Cannock Chase
Rate: From £11.50 per hour
Hours: Please note, due to the nature of the event, longer shift-based hours will be required at Games time.

This position is subject to a Basic criminal record check from the Disclosure and Barring Service.

Due to the short-term nature of our roles, candidates must have current Right to Work in the UK in order to be considered.
