Fleet Systems Coordinator

Birmingham 2022 is looking for a Systems Coordinator to join the Fleet Operations, Services and Systems (Fleet) Functional Area. Fleet is responsible for the lifecycle of most of the light-duty vehicles used in the preparation, conduct and dissolution of the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games. Reporting to the Fleet Systems Manager, the Fleet Systems Coordinator will help to oversee the development of the T2 planning, operations and service levels.

As a Fleet team member, you be working with one of the largest teams at the Games, in a friendly, inclusive and dynamic environment. If you have experience with transport operations and delivering transport systems with strong communication and project management skills, we would love to hear from you.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Fleet Systems Manager in the planning, development and delivery of the Games Family and Commonwealth Games Association Fleet Operation.
  • Deputise for the Fleet Systems Manager in the day-to-day running of the T2 operations.
  • As required, represent Fleet during Venue Transport, Venue Management or Fleet specific planning exercises.
  • Work alongside the Fleet Workforce team to create an interactive Fleet training program, making materials to be distributed, assist with the facilitation of training in Fleet drivers.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to determine service levels for Games stakeholders and develop an efficient and high-quality transport system that meets these service levels.
  • Ensure that all Fleet plans and deliverables comply with relevant licensing and legislation.

Skills and Experience

Essential

  • Current UK Driving License.
  • Experience in managing large passenger transport operations.
  • Knowledge and understanding of transport system components of large-scale events and/or venues.
  • Understanding of delivering transport systems with finite resources and demanding scheduling requirements.
  • Proven experience in supporting transport operations and liaison with contractors and suppliers.
  • Ability to manage complex projects on a similar scale.
  • Experience preparing operations plans, detailed mapping and communications collateral.

Contract: Fixed-term contract until August 2022

Salary: up to £30,000 per annum
