Birmingham 2022 is recruiting numerous Event Stewarding Group Leader roles across our competition venues. As part of the role, you will lead the deployment of a team of stewards and volunteers within a designated area of your venue/s, providing on the ground support to ensure they are confident in performing their assigned role.

You must have previous experience in events, or supervising a team of Stewards, ideally with a Level 3 Qualification in Spectator Safety and Supervision.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the Stewards and Volunteers have a detailed understanding of their work environment and all the information, equipment and support required to perform their role.
  • Undertake preparation checks ahead of the arrival of the Stewards and Volunteers to ensure all required equipment and documentation is in place.
  • Provide the Stewards and Volunteers briefing and debriefing sessions, ensuring all post event checks have been undertaken and reported to the Area Supervisor with appropriate documentation.
  • Actively promote and support an integrated and coordinated team ethic, ensuring Stewards and Volunteers work together to deliver Event Services operations and services.

Start dates: 4th July through to 20th July 2022 (Temporary Contract)
End date: August 2022

Working hours: Evening and weekend work will be required. There will also be limitations on taking annual leave during the Games operational period in July and August.

Location: Numerous, including Birmingham, Coventry, Warwick, Wolverhampton, Leamington and Cannock Chase
