If so, Birmingham 2022 are looking to recruit multiple Deputy Venue Security Managers.

Working collaboratively with Event Security Managers and senior management you will be responsible for the implementation and delivery of security operations at a specific competition or non-competition venue.

You will be accountable for liaising with senior representatives of the Police, briefing & debriefing of Contractor Venue Security Senior Supervisors and Police Workforce. In addition to your duties, you will implement policies and procedures to ensure the Security Workforce are qualified and compliant and provide support when required at the Event Control Room or Venue Security Control Centre.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the VSM to manage and be a key point of contact for all aspects of security operations at the allocated venue and other tasks as directed by the VSM.
  • Responsible for the assurance of the Contractor Workforce against the agreed specification (Venue Security Plan).
  • Implement appropriate bump in & out operations and venue installation & decommission plans with a focus on security equipment and venue asset protection.
  • Ensure that all activities are delivered against the B2022 Standard Operating Procedures and complete operating reporting as required.
  • Record and report any issues or concerns to the relevant people regarding the venue.
  • Willingness to work outside of normal working hours (evenings and weekends).

Skills and Experience Required

  • Ability to work within a multi-disciplinary organisation and to build active, cooperative partnerships with external organisations in an integrated manner.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing a complex workforce, including a large contractor workforce.
  • Experience in delivering operational plans with due regard to the needs of other key stakeholders and in line with the overall security plan.
  • Direct practical experience of providing technical/operational Security expertise to venues and/or events.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills, the ability to influence others and manage relationships.

Start Date: ASAP

Salary: upto £35,000 per annum

Contract: Fixed-term contract until August 2022

Location: One Brindley Place, Birmingham, B1 2JB
