CCW (Catering, Cleaning and Waste) Venue Manager

Birmingham 2022 is looking for an experienced Catering, Cleaning and Waste Venue Manager (CCW), who will be responsible for the project planning and operations management of Venue service contracts across a defined competition venue to deliver CCW services to the key client groups. The initial phase of this role will involve the venue CCW Functional Area (FA) services planning within Venues. The second phase will be operational and will involve the implementation and site supervision of the CCW FA Services contracts for a key venue.
Responsibilities:

  • Develop the defined operational strategies and plans per venue location. Consult with OC venue managers, existing facility owners and other related parties regarding the physical needs and requirements necessary to coordinate and manage the development of the CCW FA services.
  • Project Planning with the contracted service providers post procurement to operational readiness.
  • Management of all timelines and responsibilities in the relationship between the Organising Committee (OC) and the CCW contracted service providers from award to completion of the contract.
  • Development of forecasting for food service requirements across all client groups.
  • Assist with the Administration of the Games-wide 'contractor meals program' and the 'meal voucher' projects.
  • Monitor and manage CCW FA set budgets, financial data spreadsheet development, financial reporting and pricing models.
  • Assistance with Games Overlay in the design of both obligatory and user pay CCW FA operational spaces.
  • Liaise with the Logistics FA and contracted service providers on equipment material lists, and master delivery supply plans.
  • Monitor and report on food safety standards to ensure food safety is maintained.
  • Monitor and report on the progress of agreed contract timelines, contingencies, scope changes and milestones.
  • Develop and facilitate CCW FA contractor 'games readiness' workshops/educational sessions where required.

Skills and experience


Essential:

  • Ability to work within a multi-disciplinary organisation and to build active, cooperative partnerships with external organisations in an integrated manner.
  • Ability to translate client needs into efficient CCW FA operations
  • Experience with the project and contract management of Catering Cleaning or Waste services and operations management for large scale events
  • Demonstrated experience working within a fast-paced, project-based environment with set timelines.
  • Good knowledge of Catering, Cleaning or Waste industries and managing contracts.
  • Experience in a leadership/ management role in a CCW or related area


Desirable:

  • Diploma/degree in Hospitality or Food technology or related area
  • Experienced in external relationship management.
  • Extensive knowledge of Catering, cleaning AND waste industries
  • Knowledge of tender processes and expertise in procurement of catering, cleaning and waste services for large venue operations
